2025 St George and the Dragon 1oz Gold Coin – 999.9 Fine Gold

Introducing the highly anticipated 2025 St George and the Dragon 1oz Gold Coin, the latest release from The Royal Mint. Struck in 999.9 fine (24 carat) gold, this exceptional bullion coin marks the second issue in a new series celebrating the iconic legend of England’s patron saint and his fabled battle with the dragon.

When purchased in quantities of 10, coins are delivered in official Royal Mint tubes, ensuring both security and presentation quality.

A Legendary Tale Reimagined

The myth of St George and the Dragon is one of England’s most enduring legends, symbolizing the eternal struggle of good versus evil. This story of heroism, where St George rescues a town by vanquishing a fearsome dragon, has long been associated with courage, chivalry, and protection.

This enduring theme has been previously immortalized in British coinage by Benedetto Pistrucci on The Sovereign. Now, for this new series, renowned artist Jody Clark offers a bold reinterpretation of the scene, delivering a powerful and contemporary twist to a classic narrative.
