Freedom Liberty Eagle 0.5oz Silver Coin

The Freedom Liberty Eagle 0.5oz Silver Coin is a 2026 precious-metal release commemorating the 250th anniversary of American Independence.

Created as part of a collection celebrating the individuals, symbols and ideals that shaped the United States, the coin combines two enduring representations of America: Liberty and the bald eagle.

Containing 0.5 troy ounces of .999 fine silver, the Freedom Liberty Eagle carries a $1 denomination and is officially issued under the authority of Ascension Island.

The Freedom Liberty Eagle Design

Few images are more closely associated with the United States than Liberty and the American bald eagle.

Liberty reflects the principles that underpinned the founding of the nation, while the eagle represents independence, strength and national sovereignty.

Their combination gives the Freedom Liberty Eagle a deliberately American identity while connecting the design directly to the historic significance of 2026.

Celebrating 250 Years of American Independence

The year 2026 marks 250 years since the Declaration of Independence in 1776.

The Freedom Liberty Eagle was created to recognise that milestone and forms the opening chapter of a wider collection exploring America’s history through its defining symbols and leaders.

While subsequent releases including the Lincoln Eagle and Washington Eagle focus upon individual presidents, the Freedom Liberty Eagle represents the broader ideas of freedom and liberty at the heart of the American story.

Collecting the Freedom Liberty Eagle Silver Coin

The combination of a significant anniversary year, recognisable American imagery and precious-metal content gives the Freedom Liberty Eagle appeal beyond its intrinsic silver value.

For collectors building the wider series, the coin is particularly significant as the inaugural design establishing the collection’s central theme: the people and principles that helped shape the United States.
