Loch Ness Monster Myths and Legends 1oz Gold Coin

Step into one of Scotland’s most enduring mysteries with the Loch Ness Monster Myths and Legends 1oz Gold Coin. This is a limited edition coin with strict mintage limits of only 5,000 coins.

Few legends have captured the global imagination quite like that of the elusive creature said to inhabit the dark waters of Loch Ness. Although reported sightings stretch back centuries, the myth was propelled into international fame in 1934 following the circulation of the infamous ‘surgeon’s photograph’, reigniting fascination with the monster hidden beneath the loch’s surface.

Now, The Royal Mint celebrates this iconic piece of folklore with the first release in its new Myths and Legends bullion series dedicated to legendary Scottish creatures. Struck in one troy ounce of fine gold to Bullion standard, the coin’s reverse depicts the mysterious Loch Ness monster emerging from the water – a powerful and atmospheric design that brings myth and artistry together.

Combining storytelling, collectability and intrinsic value, this limited-mintage bullion coin offers investors and collectors alike a tangible connection to Scotland’s rich mythological heritage. It is a striking addition to any precious metals portfolio or themed coin collection.
